Here's Our Adults...
Jim Bewerse

I’m Mr. B and was raised as a Christian. Although I was always active in God’s work, my real personal growth didn’t start till I entered college. That’s when my study of God’s word really took off. I’ve found that through all my efforts in service to Christ the strides I’ve made pale in comparison to His plan. The plan God has for us is effortless when done through Christ’s salvation and guidance by the Holy Spirit. As an engineer it would be easy to rationalize away the presence of Christ in my day-to-day activities, but I know that I know, that a life without the Trinity would be an empty one.

Kassie Erenstoft

My name is Kassie Erenstoft and I am a second grade teacher at Holland Elementary. I recently graduated from the University of Florida and I am a current graduate student at the University of Central Florida. As you can tell, I love the classroom! I am married to Graig and we have two lovely puppies, Maddie and Mollie. In my spare time you will find me enjoying time with my husband and friends. I love to walk on the beach, cook and go to the movies. It is a joy to work with the youth group at SBUMC. I found Jesus when I was in the tenth grade, and it has become a passion to share Him with middle and high school students.

Theresa Obert

I am a firm believer in the principles of God first, family second and career third. I have two careers; one as a sales program manager with AT&T, the other as a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I am passionate about achieving my dreams and making a difference in the lives of others. I have an old soul and a young spirit. I attribute this to the variety of experiences I have had throughout the years. This allows me to relate, on a personal level, to many of the challenges that others face daily. I have a variety of interests and hobbies. I enjoy mentoring women and youth. I love the singing, dancing and traveling. I rotate through different hobbies and have done everything from weaving baskets to installing light fixtures.

John Stroud

I hvae been involved with the youth ministry since I was a youth.  I work for Brevard County Water Resources.  My Hobbies are Motorcycles, NASCAR, Monster Trucks and Playing the Drums. That's Me!

Ron Obert

I became involved with the youth group to support my fiancée, Theresa.  After experiencing the Gospel Journey series I realized that I was interested in contributing to the Youth Group.  I was raised in the Lutheran church and occasionally participated in a youth group growing up.  My memories of confirmation and youth group are primarily around learning the "rules" of church as opposed to spiritual growth and Christian camaraderie.  I enjoy helping today’s youth have a more positive experience at Youth Group so that they want to keep God and the church in their lives as they grow up.

Ryan Mitchell

I am Ryan Mitchell and have been a youth for over 26 years, so I have a lot of experience. I also moonlight as a rocket scientist, launching the Shuttle and designing the Ares rocket. I can often be found enjoying life on a jet ski, boat, knee board, tube, or surf board, building my sleeper race car, or involved in a plethora of other various and sundry means by which to propel myself rapidly towards an uncertain fate. Oh yea, I also drive the Youth Bus...so, hop on board!

Cynthia Mitchell

I am an avid reader, writer, teacher, and learner, dividing my time between teaching middle school Language Arts, working towards my Ph.D. in Texts and Technology, working on my own young adult novel, and playing at youth group.  I have a passion for working with students and love the connections I've made in Satellite Beach. I spend most of my time with my husband, black labrador retriever, and cat, however I am pregnant with a baby boy due in February.
